Thanksgiving Party - How To Stop Overeating

Thanksgiving celebrations revolve around Turkey, pumpkins, potatoes, apple pie and other menu items which we don’t eat in our daily life. These items are too tempting which sometimes causes overeating. However, it is quite difficult to resist such mouth watering dishes served by your host or family members still you can control your appetite and avoid overeating.

It won’t be a good idea to starve yourself in the wake of big meal at a dinner party. You should eat a light breakfast or lunch. You should not attend a party empty stomach otherwise you will feel a strong urge of having something.

It would be wise to increase your metabolism and suppress your appetite by doing a light exercise before you attend a dinner party. Such light exercises helps in suppressing an appetite which is good for healthy living.

Empty stomach won’t send signal to your brain that it is full. But you can suppress your urge and appetite by drinking a glass of water prior to the dinner. Drinking water will keep you full and won’t let you eat a lot. Moreover, water won’t give any additional fat and will be passed by urine quickly.

Sometimes due to a conflict or some other reason you sit alone and find solace in food. You should avoid such situation and sit with everybody else. Sitting in a group will surely let you cut on your hunger for sure.

Do not keep your plate full and don’t take extra meal on your plate. You can anytime refuel your plate so why keep the plate full which sometimes look awkward to other guests. Eat slowly and chew properly this will surely suppress your appetite.

Gaining fat is easy but loosing fat is pretty tough. 1 pound is equal to 3,500 calories which are very hard to burn via rigorous exercise. Try not to overeat and avoid fat.
