But one thing is common to all, Food.

If you are planning to prepare cornucopia for Thanksgiving then blend it with the season you are living in. In this article I will explain different types of cornucopia which you can prepare based on either hot or chilly weather you are experiencing. Please leave me a comment and let me know your experiences of preparing cornucopia for Thanksgiving Day.

Ancient Greek cornucopia was symbolized as curved goat's horn which consists of grain, fruit and other eatable items. Similarly our cornucopia can have different eatable items which consist of different foods, nuts, grain and vegetables.

People living in coastal regions can add lemons, oranges and other fruits to the basket. You can use toothpick to tie these fruits to the basket so that they don’t fall out. In order to give it an overflowing look make sure you don’t stuff items in random. Plan well and stuff items properly so that it looks good having all the ingredients in place.

People living in warm regions can keep flowers and other decoration material in their cornucopia. It is not important that cornucopia should only have eatable items.

If your cornucopia is filled with eatable items then it would be best if you place it over the center table so that your guest can enjoy the parts of it as snacks or they can even enjoy it post meal.

You can also use frozen bread dough shaped over a colander, you can form the horn of plenty. Bake as per the direction given on the package and serve to your guest during Thanksgiving meal.

You know Native American's use to create cornucopia with rocks and cactus to show their love with the environment and surroundings. With a little bit of creativity you can also show your love for the surroundings and create beautiful non-edible cornucopia for the decoration purposes.
