How To Prepare Salad From Your Thanksgiving Leftovers

After your Thanksgiving dinner party is over you must be wondering what to do with the leftovers for sure. Typically people gift leftovers to their friends and family members as a Thanksgiving favor but in case you are still left with lots of leftovers you can either dump them or make good use of them. Throwing such expensive items won’t be a good idea especially if you can prepare nice eatable items for your breakfast, lunch or even for dinner.
In this article I will tell you how you can make a salad from thanksgiving leftovers. Please leave me a comment and share your experiences of reusing Thanksgiving leftovers. You are welcome to share your own recipes which you prepare from Thanksgiving leftovers.
Turkey Meat - without skin 2 cups chopped cooked white and dark
Celery - 1/2 cup properly chopped
Yogurt - 2/3 cup. You can use Plain or vanilla flavored yogurt as per wish
Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
Honey - 1 tablespoon honey
orange zest - 1 teaspoon
Salt - As per taste or 1/8 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
Black/White pepper - 1/8 teaspoon
Oranges - 2 medium sized oranges, properly peeled and divided into sections.
Strawberries - 1 cup fresh chopped strawberries. You can use defrosted strawberries also.
Banana - 1 small sized banana, properly sliced or chopped
Flaked Coconut - 2 tablespoons
Mini-Marshmallows - 1/4 cup (leftover from your sweet potato casserole)
Dash paprika for garnish
Lettuce leaves
1. In a medium sized bowl properly mix turkey and celery.
2. Prepare a mixture of yogurt, mayonnaise, honey, salt, pepper and orange zest in a two cup measuring cup.
3. Add this mixture to the mixture prepared in Step-1.
4. Before serving, add strawberries, banana slices, coconut etc. make sure you add the ingredients 5-10 minutes before serving.
5. Let set for a few minutes before serving on a salad plate on a bed of 2 to 3 lettuce leaves. Dust paprika and garnish with the leftover deviled eggs and orange sections.
