How to Prepare Cornbread Dressing For A Thanksgiving

Cornbread dressing is a quick recipe which can be easily prepared as traditional dressing for the thanksgiving party. Moreover  cornbread dressing also adds variety and flavor to a thanksgiving menu. Any Thanksgiving party is incomplete without a cornbread dressing so its vital to add this your Thanksgiving menu.

Required Ingredients -
• white bread - 3 cups 1 day old white bread
• cornbread - 3 cups of 2-day old cornbread
• chicken stock
• celery
• fresh parsley
• onions
• green onions
• cooking oil
 
Preparations: Do not use fresh bread for the preparation as it makes the preparation go moist.
1. The first step in the preparation is to preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
2. Take a large bowl and crush the cornbread and in it. If you do want to crush or crumble the bread you can cut the bread into cube sized pieces.
3. Add 2 cups of chicken stock to the crushed bread in the bowl. Chicken stock can be either homemade or canned ass per wish. Leave the bowl for sometime and place it aside.
4. In a pan add approximately ¼ cup of cooking oil and palce it at a medium heat. Now to the hot oil add ingredients i.e. ½ cup of fresh chopped parsley, 1 cup of chopped onion and, ½ cup chopped celery, and ½ cup chopped green onions. Cook them till the time onions become clear.
5. Pour the above prepared hot mixture in the bowl of crushed bread and chicken stock. To give flavor and taste to the preparation add salt, ground cayenne pepper, ½ teaspoon of crushed dried mint to it. Mix properly.
6. You cake bake the comb read dressing either with your turkey/hen (as stuffing - bake until the meat is done) or in a casserole dish (bake for approximately about 60 minutes).
